Howdy, I installed 1.2 through fantastico and then dowloaded and upgraded to 1.3, I followed the upgrade instructions step by step.
When my site is visited the pictures show up as an x in IE on a pc and as a ? in safari on a mac. Please take a look, any help would be greatly appreciated.

right-click on the broken images - properties. Copy the full pic url (e.g. http://www.elgatodelvuelo.com/copp/themes/igames/images/box_left_icon.gif ) and paste it into your browser's address bar - you get the error

You don't have permission to access /copp/themes/igames/images/box_left_icon.gif on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

This means: the file is there, but the surfer doesn't have the permissions to view it. Make sure to CHMOD your folder /themes/igames/images so the the file can be accessed - usually 644. If this is alien to you, contact your webhost.

thank you very much!! It was my damn hotlink protection, I kept changing the the permissions and it looked good on the back end, even at 777 it would not let me view them, took off hotlink protection, booyah!! Thanks again!!!

Okay I have tried chmoding everything I could think of and I did the upgrade as it ws supposed to be done. (I have done this on a couple of places) my gallery is here http://www.funeralofhearts.com/gallery

I have no problem seeing any of the pictures and what-not but others are. I think this has something more to then with chmod permissions. Anyway can anyone see my gallery? Also has anyone else had this sort of problem.

(No I am not using Hot Link Protection)

Thanks guys , seriously though some of my members still cannot see it, so I am thinking of just reinstalling the gallery....do any of you think it might work? And then chmod what I am supposed to and stuff? Hmmm

Yeah I have no problems seeing my Gallery and I have tried from different computers, but other people have said this:

"I also have problems with the gallery..problems with the pics loading. And for some reason, when I go to the gallery, then try to go to other sites, pics won't load at all. I have to do a little ctrl alt del crap to get it to work again. =/ "

Opps maybe I should've made another thread? I don't know. ACK! Anyway I made a test gallery with a fresh install of 1.3 and the people who complained about not being able to see it, said that now they could. The test gallery is here: http://www.funeralofhearts.com/gallery2

Hmmm I have no idea what to do. I don't want to have to move all the files and lose all my information! (Comments, members etc.)

Try re-uploading all files from your local hard disk to your webserver for your "regular" gallery, maybe this is just another case of file-corruption on upload.
Also, I suggest running udpate.php on your "regular" gallery to make sure all db entries are correct.
You could create a duplicate of your "regular" gallery by creating a mySQL dump (with phpMyAdmin), change the table prefix in the whole dump file to the one from your fresh install and run the dump in phpMyAdmin again to make the second install's gallery identical to the first one. The only issue left would then be the pics stored in another location; you could either go to the coppermine config of your second install and change the path to the albums and userpics folder there temporarily, or (even better) add a symlink to your gallery2 folder that let's the albums folder point to your old install. This way, you wouldn't have to re-upload everything and all your comments, ratings etc. would remain intact. Then advice some users who experienced problems to browse to http://www.funeralofhearts.com/gallery2  to check.
