Watermarking
« on: October 11, 2011, 03:43:39 pm »

Hi there. I have several galleries but I'll use this one this time: http://samskara.org/gallery and it is running the latest current stable version @ 1.5.16. What I would like to know is this, is there anywhere I can find to show me how to make the watermark? I've tried making one for some of my other galleries but failed. It was either too big or too small. I design on Photoshop CS5. What I want to do is mark my photos when I upload.

Thanks in advance.

I don't get the actual issue. Do you have trouble to create the watermark file, that will be applied automatically during Coppermine's upload process?

Correct. I'm  having trouble making the watermark. I've done it in png and then added it via FTP, but then when it's added to the pictures upon upload, there's a size issue and also it just looks funny.

Just create your watermark file in the correct size. You also might want to have a look at that config option: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/configuration.htm#admin_watermarking_downsize

I have another issue with the watermarking, this is why I didn't close this topic because I knew I'd have another problem. The gallery I'm working on is a test gallery so here is the url: http://testsite.samskara.org and I'm running 1.5.16. What I would like to know is, is there a way of resizing the watermark on the medium size image (example here: http://testsite.samskara.org/gallery/displayimage.php?album=8&pid=2821#top_display_media ). I don't want it to be as big on the medium size images than on the originals.

Thanks.

That config option does exactly what you ask for. Just try some config values that fit your needs.
