mysql error connection testing failed
« on: September 04, 2011, 05:09:52 am »

While setting up my coppermine gallery it starts out by saying that over 500 files may be corrupt. This could be the problem but I am a complete newb and have no idea. I just hit next and proceeded to see what would happen. I get this error at step 7.

ERROR
The following errors were encountered and need to be corrected first:
Could not create a MySQL connection, please check the MySQL details entered
MySQL error: Access denied for user 'Goostoff'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I really don't want to have to start over. I just spent the entire day on a dial-up connection to get to this point, and really don't want to do it again tomorrow only to have this happen again. I never noticed that I needed to switch filezilla over to a bianary mode so this may have started my whole issue. Please4 help me save my sanity. Here is the URL to my gallery.

seems to be resolved. I don't see a resolve button anywhere so I assume this is what I do. I switched to the classic and noticed that the database name was wrong.
