Hi,

I just upgraded from an very old version 1.3.3 to 1.5.12 (I did the intermediary step of upgrading to 1.4.27 first).

- The first upgrade 1.4.27 went well, and I did not see visible signs of slowness between the old version

- then, once I did the 1.5.12 upgrade the site became very slow.

I looked at http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/performance.htm#perf_tips page and checked that
- I have no plugins installed
- I don't have a large number of folders or images on the site
- I removed the "random" images from the front page
- BUT still very slow.. just clicking on the "login" link takes a long time!

Here's the link for anyone interested... http://www.kibo-studio.com/imagelib

Any ideas what else can I do?
I appreciate the help....!

It seems to be your theme, as it loads quite fast with e.g. the curve theme: http://www.kibo-studio.com/imagelib/?theme=curve

Thank you. I did forgot to update the theme files after changing from 1.4.x. This works! Thanks again!

Howdy,

Apology for resurrecting an old topic.  The documentation explains the process for upgrading from 1.4.x to 1.5.x but not for older versions to 1.4.x

Could you share the documentation you use for that first step in the process.

If you look at the 1.4.x documentation you will see how to update from 1.3.x to 1.4.x

Please, next time start your own thread as it makes things easier for us to follow.

*edit - Andre beat me to it.

Phill

Thanks for this but there is no place to start threads about pre-1.5.x CPG... They're all locked.

You simply create them here, in the 1.5 upgrading forum. If you are having trouble creating a thread in this forum then we would need to look at that. All the 1.3 forums are locked as they are only for reference as we no longer support that product.
