What about setting the 'Go directly from thumbnail to full-sized image' option per album rather than globally?

This idea came from non-image files not being displayed properly with that option enabled globally.

That way a video or acrobat file album could be set for intermediate filmstrip viewing and an image gallery
could be set for 'Go directly from thumbnail to full-sized image'.

Valid feature request. May be possible to introduce as plugin in cpg1.5.x if the feature is needed urgently. I suggest to create an appropriate plugin hook (if needed at all) and create a plugin instead of adding it as core feature.
