Im an artist and want to display my work online... i dont really want to shrink the images too much though because i want to show all the detail and stuff... anyway is there an addon which will let you change the way the full view mode works when you click a thumbnail and it opens a new window... i want users to be able to zoom in and out on certain areas of the pictures like ive seen other artists do...

not possible with coppermine (yet). Usually a live zoom is done with Java Applets (although there are some JavaScript gimmicks that do similar things as well, but they're not very reliable and don't work in every browser). I doubt it will be in the mainstream code any time soon, unless someone is willing to contribute this as a hack.
