First of all, I did a search and could not find the information I am looking for.

In my photo album there seems to be a "link to profile" link under each thumbnail for members, but not for admin. Where do I correct this setting?

not at all - that's the way coppermine works (well, at least not that easily). Your whole site is yours to adminsiter, you could add links to your profile page or any other "about me" page one could think of on many places all over your page.
