Help with watermark
« on: February 01, 2011, 12:06:09 pm »

Hello,
My name is Edoardo, and with other people manage a photo gallery based on coppermine system. The gallery can be reached at: www.fiammeblu.it
The current is based on the latest release of 1.4, but will soon install the new, that we are currently trying here:
http://www.mondoprotezionecivile.it/album/index.php
Our photos, as you can see here http://www.fiammeblu.it/displayimage.php?pos=-53290, all show a watermark, that we create, for each user, manually during the photo editing (We have over 700 users, and you can imagine how much work this thing costs), but we would like to automate the procedure.
Coppermine 1.5.12 offers the watermarking system, but with the possibility of using only a single watermark to all photos. We would like to use a custom watermark for every photographer.
Our watermark contains the written:
Blue Flames - http://www.fiammeblu.org - Image Copyright © "Name Surname" - 2011
If it were possible we would like "Name and Surname" be a parameter passed by the user during registration, so that the system will be added as image in the watermark, in the right position.
If we can not, we create a watermark for each user, but it should be possible as the association between user and watermark, watermark, so that each corresponds to a user.
One of the two hypotheses is that possible? something already exists to realize these procedures?
Thanks a lot

Afaik such a thing doesn't exist yet, but it's possible to create it. It's similar to that feature request. I already planned to contribute code, but it has only a very low priority on my to-do list and I'm quite busy.
