Uploading Video File
« on: January 14, 2011, 04:41:25 pm »

I get the following error when I try to add a video file to one of my folders.
"•PB : means that the file could not be added, check your configuration and the permission of directories where the files are located"

I have the permissions upload file size set at 10,000 KB and the file is a MP4file about 6000 KB.

I did manage to add a MP3 which was about 800 KB with out any trouble.

What is my problem?

Thanks

If you try to upload the file with one of the HTTP upload methods (flash uploader / single upload form) keep in mind that there are more (server side) limits than just the Coppermine file size limit. Read http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/configuration.htm#admin_picture_thumbnail_max_upload_size

I converted the file to AVI and it uploaded and played just fine.  So why can't I do that with a MP4 file? I upload by FTP and have no trouble uploading to the Web Site, just can't get it into the Gallery.

Please check if you allow to add mp4 files. Please also check the file type settings with the file type editor plugin.
