Transferring select images
« on: December 28, 2010, 09:04:05 pm »

Hi,

I am in the process of moving two sites over to a different host. I got the galleries moved over, got the database installed and everything, however, while mid-transfer, the person whose site its for, wanted me to make an update and add a couple pictures to the gallery to the site for the holidays. Since the site had not fully been moved yet, needed to make the update on the old host.  Now I need to grab those changes there and move them to the gallery on my new host. Do I just re-grab the database and upload on the new server, and grab the pics, thumbs etc for the new pics I added and transfer them or are there more files I would need to grab? Also, one gallery was 1.5 on old host, but one got upgraded to 1.5 on the new host. Will that make any difference as well to what files I need to move to make sure those new pictures are on the new host gallery?

Here's a link to one of the galleries on the old host still (other is in process of transfer): http://www.sadhanasom.com/portfolio/

Thanks!!

Basically you need to move the albums directory and the database. It's a little bit difficult to understand what you have done as you're asking for support for both of your galleries. I suggest to solve your questions one by one, if you need support.
