Problem with group membership in phpBB bridge
« on: November 25, 2010, 03:05:09 pm »

I created a group named "GalleryAdmin" to my phpBB board, and added someone to the group.  phpBB indicates that they are now a member.  The group successfully appears in my group listing in Coppermine.  In Coppermine, I've assigned the same privileges as owned by the Coppermine administrator - yet, when this person logs in, they do not see the row of administrator buttons.

For reference, here are the particulars of my bridge:

Thanks

Now the troubleshooting section of the bridging documentation makes sense to me!  I never did find phpbb3.ini.php in my phpBB Forum; that's because it is located in my_gallery/bridge.  And since I had upgraded from phpBB2 to phpBB3, I did indeed have to take that step.

However, when I changed the value for "GalleryAdmin" (the group I created for gallery administration) in this file, my friend could now administrate the gallery - but I couldn't!  Simple fix: I added myself to the GalleryAdmin group.  Now I remain the administrator for the Forum, but we are both administrators for the gallery.

Thanks for the documentation - I'm closing this one.
