Read the docs in the 1.3.0 docs folder.  In the index.html are full and easy to follow instructions for upgrading.
You should not lose anything with the upgrade.

I'm about to upgrade from version 1.2.1 and have just read 3.4 in the documentation and manual.
My question is now:
  • Must I make a new folder called cpg 1.3.0
  • or do I upload to the existing folder called cpg 1.2.1

you replace the files in the existing folders on your server.

IMPORTANT.  Do not overwrite the albums folder.  Do not overwrite the include/config.inc.php file. make a copy of your config.inc.php file, and then replace the old files with the new ones.

Ok,

Now I have copied all what you told met copy

Album folder
Include folder (which contains the config.inc.php file, so I don't understand why we have to make a copy of that)

Everything but displayimage.php.  Because when I upload this, i receice this error :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_type() in /home/military/public_html/visualdbase/displayimage.php on line 159
which is this line in the document = $mime_content = get_type($CURRENT_PIC_DATA['filename']);

Anybody who can help and tell me what to do???

Thnaks in advance

Don't hijack a thread - not even one you started. We have a "1 question per thread" policy on this board, so I'm locking this one.
