Using amazon S3 to' store album directory
« on: October 27, 2010, 10:34:31 pm »

My coppermine installation is visite by man people and this poses me some bandwidth problems. I've the sane problems on a joomla site and on a wordpress blog. Since i've seen that some plugins does exist for both wordpress and joomla to move all the images on an amazon s3 storage, i'm thinking to do the same with the albums folder of my coppermine installation. I don't have users on my cpg and i'm the only one uploading and managing images.

With cpg 1.5 is it possibile to do something like this? How can I ave bandwidth without changing my hosting service?

Afaik that's not possible out of the box. Maybe it's possible with a plugin or some core code changes, but I'm currently not sure.
