Upgrading from 1.4.X to 1.5.8, on Joomla 1.5.20 it was bridged by mehdi

Uploaded replaced everything except the the library folder and the config.inc.php.

But forgot to disable the plugins.

When I run the update.php I get the following message.

Fatal error: Call to a member function getLongVersion() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/xxx.com/httpdocs/plugins/system/legacy.php on line 138

if I disable the Legacy-system Plug in from Joomla admin and run the update.php I get the following error

Coppermine critical error:
The group table does not contain the Anonymous group !

You can uninstall the plugins by removing the according lines from the plugins table in the database.

The group table does not contain the Anonymous group !

Add it manually.
