file dates
« on: September 30, 2010, 03:47:13 pm »

I am new here and did search the forum for this answer but couldn't find anything, so forgive me if I am being redundant.

I am importing an existing picture gallery and I made sure when I uploaded the files via ftp to my temporary folder,  they retained their existing creation dates.  When I do a single or batch import, it changes the date of the file to today's date.  I want to use the sort by date feature within coppermine, so is there any way I can import and retain the file's creation date?

Not possible without making some modifications to the code.

That's what I thought.  Thanks for your help.  The other thing I wanted to do is eliminate the "login" button from the user's menu but then how would I access the administration menu.

You can always login by browsing to login.php . For details of how to remove the button please start a new thread as we have a 1 question per thread policy.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Or search the board, as there are already several threads that deal with that question.
