Paths to GD?
« on: September 12, 2010, 03:07:49 pm »

I've been round the houses reading all the documentation etc and I still can't make head or tail of the GD/imagemagik issue.

If I select for GD 2 then what do I enter in the 'Path to ImageMagick 'convert' utility' box? The panel keeps demanding that I put something there but the info box does not suggest any text.

Well this is what I assumed but it doesn't like it for I get the following message-

The value you have set for «Path to ImageMagick 'convert' utility» is invalid, please review it.

And when I go to the info box I am told-

You need to make sure to specify a valid path with a traling slash no matter what - the config form will complain if you don't.

... which it most certainly does!

I get the same thing

I looked at the phpinfo.php file and it says:

gd
GD Support    enabled
GD Version    bundled (2.0.34 compatible)

I chose GD version 2.x from the dropdown box
keeps asking for path to ImageMagick ....
I also don't have a clue how to point to GD...or don't I have to?

Just ignore the message.
Alternatively enter a slash in the 'Path to ImageMagick' field.

Has been fixed in svn revision 8173. Fix will be available in the next release, cpg1.5.14.

ok, thank you for the fast reply.

putting just a slash / in the Path to ImageMagick 'convert' utility ,works (no more errors).
The startbutton is at the very bottom of the screen and is easy to miss. so I installed with the old system te first time.
I've deleted everything in the site and Mysql database and started over.
