Uploaded files saving as .gif?
« on: August 23, 2010, 06:26:13 am »

Whenever I uploaded photos to my gallery and I click them to enlarge, they always go to a smaller window, but the file still saves as the full size. While it's not a huge problem, I strongly dislike it. People generally like HQ images, and that's what I want them to appear as. HQ and their regular size. Whenever I fix it so they do appear as regular size, they save as a .gif and the image doesn't even show up. I've searched the forum and cannot find an answer. Can any of you help me?

This has been discussed so many times since the release of cpg1.5.x. Afaik the easiest solution is to enable the transparent overlay, but then it's not so easy to save the image. There's a plugin that adds a download link to solve this 'problem'.
