Member Gallery's
« on: June 06, 2004, 03:07:31 am »

I figured out that the reason members cannot upload immediatly after registering is that the site doesnt create a new gallery at that time.  I want to know if there is a way to create a default gallery simply by having a user register, i.e. would be I just registered and now I have a gallery titled "My Gallery" that I can upload into without any work in creating a gallery myself.  Lets face it many people that use website arent computer adept and will never figure out how to use the software well enough to navigate to the administrative area to create a lousy gallery.

out-of-the-box this isn't possible, but why don't you (as gallery admin) create an album in a public category they're all allowed to upload and move the pics for them later?

I guess this is more of a feature request then.  I dont want to have one big forum for all the users :)  It'll just be something I look forward too down the road.  For now i'll let people that can figure it out create and upload pictures but most will just be viewing what I upload then.

_bump_

I'm also interested in this feature!
Is it available now (this thread is over a year old).

I think this is a great feature to have.

How hard would it be to make it do this?

Thanks,
~J

regular users still can't create public albums. This thread is very old and refering to an outdated version, it's only there for reference. Locking this thread now.
