Batch resizing of images problem
« on: August 05, 2010, 04:02:21 pm »

Hi

I have a site using coppermine that contains 63,000 pictures.

I have just upgraded to 1.5x and thought it would be a good time to tinker with the site design. I would like to make my thumbnails larger and see that there is a utility to batch resize thumbnails.

The problem is, there are so many pictures that the batch resize stops after about 15 minutes (token expired?). When I set it going again it restarts from the beginning - looking at albums that have already been resized.

I know I can resize the thumbnails one album at a time, but I have several thousand albums!!

Is there any other way I can re-create thumbnails from the original image at a different size without using the 'batch resize' utility within coppermine. I assume I would need some script written by someone who knows about GD (I dont use ImageMagik) ?

Many thanks for your help

Diana

You can increase the token lifetime in config.

http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/configuration.htm#admin_general_form_token_lifetime

Alternatively process fewer images at a time.
