Rainy Day Theme Color
« on: July 29, 2010, 12:38:36 am »

I'm trying to change the main colors of the rainy day them from the blue colors to red colors.  I don't want to change
any of the colors within the main table cells.  I can easly edit my style.css file, but I need to know what to change.

I tried to change it, but all I was changing was the main background color so when the front main page reloaded
it went back to the main blue color.

I want to change the main colors outside the main tables.

The Rainy Day theme seems to use images for everything not in the tables. Use some of these tools (Firefox and Firebug) to find the name of each image and use a photo editing software to change the colors.

Hey Jeff,

I appreciate your help and advice.  I have never used any of the FireFox or Firebug programs.  Are you
talking about the Firefox web browser?  Would I still need to edit the Style.css file for Rainy_day? If so,
what commands on the Style.css would I need to be looking for?

Thanks again,

I down loaded all the images in the rainy-day image file to look at the images.  There a lot of
images that would have to be changed and edited.

Is there another theme that I could use or down load that the colors of the theme is not so
laid out in images?  I have looked at all the available themes and none are done up in red colors.

I would be willing to change the theme if it would make it more easly to change the theme colors.

I would also like to be able to put a Brand Logo in the Header section.

Thanks,

The water drop and classic themes are pretty easy to edit.
Or you could build your own theme => Creating your custom theme
Or you can request someone to build one for you => Looking for Freelancers / Paid help

Thanks for your help Jeff,

I went ahead and changed the theme to Water_day.  Now I want to change the white color outside the tables to a light red,
and I want to change the outer most theme boader to a darker red.

In the white area where the title is, I want to put a Logo on the Left Side.  Do I need to work with editing the Style.css
file, or do I need to edit something else?

I appreciate your time, and Information.

Jeff has explained what to do and what toolds you need. Themeing is quite simple to lear if you put the effort in. Unfortunately this is not the right place for you to learn those skills. Nor have we the time to do the work for you.

If you do decide to give it a go and get stuck please ask questions and we will try and help but you need to get as far as you can first.
