Uploading .tif-Files
« on: July 02, 2010, 11:19:24 am »

Hey lovely Forum,

i'm new here and have a question about uploading TIF-Files.

In the documentation of the Coppermine-Gallery i read that TIF-Files are supported and can be uploaded without any problems.
I get this error: (Screen on Attach-Files)
Sorry its a german-system, on english it is the error:
Only Data-Files with the following extensions are allowed: /jpg/jpeg/gif/png/bmp/asf/asx/mpg/mpeg/wmv/swf/avi/mov/mp3/midi/mid/wma/wav/ogg/docs/xls/ .....

Maybe i have a problem with my apache or with ImageMagick.
Short to the Config of my System:

OS: Linux
Distri: CentOS
Webserver: Apache 2.2.3 - (httpd)
ImageMagick: Tested with the URL: /usr/bin and /usr/local/bin

I hope you can help me.

Best Regards,
Zitrone (:

Ok i understand, but in the configuration menue of coppermine, i added this line surely before.

Look like this: jpeg/jpg/png/gif/tiff/bmp/TIFF/TIF/tif
(Screenshot in Attach)

That is why i think that is something wrong with my server...
Thanks for your support.

No need for the capitalized file types. Please remove them.

Do you still get the same error message? I'm not very familiar with IM. Please have a look here and validate, that your server fits the requirements:

Requires tiff-v3.6.1.tar.gz

Sorry for this very late answer, but i was on my holiday-trip ;)

I installed the libtiff package

Code: [Select]
./configure
make all
make install

So, but now i must bind the package insert of my ImageMagick or is this wrong?
How i can do that?

THANKS FOR THE PERFECT SUPPORT!

tiff is defined as a document type, not an image type. So add /tif/tiff to the end of your document definitions and you will be fine.
