Coppermine template error: Failed to find block 'contact'
« on: June 22, 2010, 05:25:01 am »

I have Coppermine installed in 2 places on my domain, 2 different locations. after a recent upgrade, I began getting an error on the main coppermine install located at http://www.luridmusestudios.com/photography/
the second install is fine and upgraded without issue. I have attempted to restore a backup of the /photography/ coppermine but the error continues to be there.
how do I repair this error?
Thank you for your time and attention to this,
Pandora

http://www.luridmusestudios.com/photography/?theme=curve

At a quick first glance, I would guess you are using a theme designed for version 1.4.x with your updated 1.5.6 installation. If this is indeed the case, you'll need to update your custom theme(s) (or any other 1.4.x theme) by following the instructions in your documentation.

@PandoradeRomanus: you said that this happened after an upgrade. Subsequently, you need to make sure that you have done as suggested per upgrade instructions in the docs: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/upgrading.htm
Among the steps needed to perform you need to upgrade any theme from an older coppermine version, as onthepike suggested. Theme upgrade instructions can be found in http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/theme_upgrade_14x-15x.htm
As you have an upgrade issue, you should have posted in the corresponding board. Moving accordingly.

Simple scripts installed this for me and upgraded it as well.
I have looked at the above documentation, checked my file(s) and they are already updated how they should be, I suspect by Simple scripts when it upgraded coppermine itself.
I was using a standard theme not a customized one. my customized theme is on the working coppermine.
I have copied the themes from the working copy of coppermine to the non-working version, no change.
as previously stated I went and attempted to use my backup version of coppermine, and its not working now either.
is it possible this is because Coppermine is installed in 2 different directories (because its 2 different websites) and it doesnt like it?

I have fixed the error by completely deleting the coppermine theme folder from the non-working directory and copying the theme folder from the working directory into it. Problem resolved.
Thank you.

Simple scripts installed this for me and upgraded it as well.
Auto-installers suck and go completely and utterly unsupported. Read up http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/auto-installers.htm

Problem resolved.
