Hi,

I installed Coppermine 1.4.x.

I tried to upload the following kind of files:
- mpeg
- avi
- swf
- mov
- wmv

No problem with mpeg, swf and wmv (even though with the wmv the gallery/browser crashed the first time I tried to see it...).

About the avi files: I have been able to see only one of the three I uploaded, of the other two I only heard the sound.

I have been not able to see the mov.

I just wondered if I need anyway to have the codec and a specific plug-in on my PC.

For example, maybe I don't have the codec for the two avi I did not see and I do not have the right QuickTime plug-in running on my PC.

It is that correct?

Thank you for any advice and help!   :)

Specifically, post a link to the files that do not work for you.

All those files work fine for me so yes, it is safe to assume you have browser or computer issues. Unfortunately that is something we cannot look into but try a different browser such as firefox, chrome or safari and see if that makes a difference.

In addition, you are a little behind on the updates as you are running 1.4.26 while the current release is 1.4.27 which fixes a security problem.
