I am trying to get CPG 1.2 up and running on my server, which is hosted by ipowerweb.
The installation went well, and I can now login but I am having all sorts of problems with uploading photos.
When I turn on debug mode, I get the following bulk of error messages:

I have spent the better part of a day trying to figure this out, reading every possible thing I could turn up here on the forum, and trying out advice given. I still cannot figure it out.

Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Although I apreciate your thought to give as much information as possible, your posting is a bit "information overkill"

Did you CHMOD your albums folder and everything within it as suggested in the documentation that comes with coppermine? Do you actually have enough webspace left?

I have CHMODed everything to 777 as that seems to be the only way to get anything to even begin to work, and it was required during install.

If I try to batch upload files (that were FTPed NOT to the 'userpics' folder) I receive this message:

Your GD library appears to be broken. Test with a known-good jpeg (e.g. one you downloaded from our demo page). If you get this error again, contact your webhost and ask them to fix the GD library.

I will check on the GD stuff and see if that is the problem. Had the same issue with a good image from the demo.

I CHMODed everything to 755 and got the same errors.

Any other advice on this?
