I have another question about cropping thumbnails. I already searched this board but couldn't find the answer to this particular question.

I have my thumbnails set to appear as squares.
But if I wanted to crop the thumbnail I couldn't automatically make it as a square. Well, only by looking very carefully.
But is there any way to crop them as squares automatically?

Or am I just blind and didn't get it?

Did you read http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/configuration.htm#admin_picture_thumbnail_use-dimension - it explains what option to use to obtain square thumbnails?

Yes, yes, I know that. I DO have square thumbnails. What I mean is, how can I choose a different part of the picture to use as a thumbnail and the size when cropping it automatically set as a square. Know what I mean?

Currently there is no option for that.

We have just released cpg1.5.x as a stable release (since 6 days). There will be no additional features in the cpg1.5.x in future releases. It's too early to ask about feature for cpg1.6.x, and this is not the right place to ask for new features. Please resolve your thread.
