phpBB3 Bridge
« on: June 06, 2010, 05:50:24 pm »

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and phpBB3:
The bridge doesn't seem to work for me since I updated to 1.5.4/6.  It accepts my login details and takes me back to the gallery, however, the admin menu does not appear, at first I thought it was a style issue but even on the curve style it was not working.

Coppermine install: http://www.simonmaccorkindale.net/gallery/index.php
Bridging app install: http://www.simonmaccorkindale.net/forum/index.php
Coppermine version: cpg1.5.6
Bridging app version: phpBB3.0.7-PL1
Test user account: un: maw / pw: *****

BridgeManager settings:
Bridge app URL:  http://www.simonmaccorkindale.net/forum
Relative path to your bridge app's config file:  ../forum/
Cookie name or prefix:  phpbb3_687654
Use post-based groups?:  1

hi there,

i stumble upon the same issue with my setup. (cpg 1.5x and phpBB3)... i fixed it with following settings within the phpBB setup:

my main admin account had to be set to be in the registered user groups, set as it's main group. i don't know the exact term in english, cause i'm using the german language layout of phpbb3.

i try to translate it ;D

User and Groups -> Manage Groups (on the left nav bar) -> "System Groups" click on settings for registered users... and put yourself in.

regards,

@shelliwood: logging in works as expected for me, although you're not being recognized as admin in coppermine although the login sticks.

However, you posted an admin account, so anyone could ruin your entire site with a click or two. Posting an admin account is silly and dangerous. I have edited out the password in your initial posting, however it's absolutely mandatory that you change your password at once.

Weird - that account shouldn't have any admin permissons?  pw changed

Any ideas why Coppermine isn't recognising me as admin?

@redm2006 Thanks for that however I am already in both the Admin and Reg Users groups (as well as Global Mod)

I was having the same problem. Did you upgrade your forum from phpBB2 to phpBB3? If so, don't forget to edit phpbb3.inc.php file. As stated in the documentation here: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/bridging.htm#integrating_individual_bridge_issues_phpbb3
