Meta Albums in Thumbnail View for Album
« on: June 05, 2010, 05:37:40 am »

Is there a way to show meta albums (last uploads, comments, top rated...) while viewing thumbnails in an album? I'm looking for a setting in config, but if it's not available, I also wouldn't mind editing the CPG files directly (just point me in the right direction).

Thanks :)

Board rules / Forum policies: Post Links.
This is so frustrating: I hate it that I even have to remind frequent-posters of board rules...

This is not anything specific to my gallery, so I did not think that was necessary.

I only want something such as the "Random files" or "Last comments" on the main page:
http://www.pftq.com/gallery/

to show up on the thumbnail view of an album such as:
http://www.pftq.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=7

If anything is unclear in my question, just let me know.

Upgrade. Running cpg1.4.12 is not an option, with the most recent stable release of cpg1.4.x series being cpg1.4.27. You're running 15 versions behind.

The gallery is working fine.  The version number is just inaccurate as I had been using a modified file and I'd overlooked it.

Seems to be quite a few files not updated - Coppermine version: 1.4.19 from your update file

And your docs - http://www.pftq.com/gallery/docs/

Please do as suggested instead of arguing.

Yes, because I have a number of modified files I do not wish to break.

I'm not trying to argue, so I'm sorry if I come off that way.  My question was just what file the Meta Albums were displayed in, as I do not mind editing my copy of CPG myself.  I wouldn't mind upgrading, but I'm looking at a more recent install here (http://invest.berkeley.edu/gallery/) and do not see such an option.  If I missed the setting somewhere, please let me know.

You need to upgrade. As it is your gallery could be hacked in seconds. As such it would be a waste of our time helping you if the work we both put in was destroyed. I am not willing to waste my time in that way and I am certain other supporters will not. Take your time and work out what mods you need then upgrade properly. It will not take as long as you think.
