[Invalid]: Extra content on main page

It would be nice to have some extra options under "The content of the main page".

For example a block to put text in (welcome message or news) and a block that shows the latest posts on the forum or a  block that shows who is online.

this feature exists out of the box. Search for anycontent

IP address coming from Kyrgyzstan (instead of Anguilla as suggested per user selection) and the fact that marsel martin hasn't done as suggested per board rules makes the request even more invalid and suspect.
