GD library 2.xx seem don't work

Hello

My site is hosted at 1&1 and when I want to upload images via the GD library 2.xx, there is no creation of intermediate images or thumbnails. It works perfectly with Image Magick. (http://***.cnotrevie.com/cpg_photos/)
Although using Image Magick doesn't bother me, I want to know if other users have this problem.

In phpinfo, the GD library is available.

Coppermine version 1.5.3 RC installed, updated from svn today.
I also found the problem with 1.4.26.

I had no problem with versions prior to 1.4.20

Ideas?

I found a solution.
I updated my php version 4 to 5 and there is no problem now.
