Same image(s) appear in several galleries
« on: May 08, 2010, 08:52:36 am »

Hi,

I have a problem with a few images that sort of misses an album ID. In another thread ( http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,64798.0.html ) I had some trouble uploading files. During debug I created the album 'test upload' in which I uploaded ONE file. However, I find 7 other photos in this album that belongs to my gallery, but I've never uploaded these photos into this gallery. They were just there. If you see the album description on 'test upload' you'll find that is says '1 file(s)', but when you enter the album you'll see 8 photos. The only photo I've uploaded to this album is the portrait of the colored boy. The other photos belong to two other galleries.

Something similar happened to these two galleries:

Kjerag July 24th 2008
Kjerag July 29th 2008

Something strange must've happened during upload or something, because I find photos belonging to the 29th in the 24th album, and I never uploaded them there.

Can anyone help?

Link to album: http://hildebrandt.no/sven/albums/thumbnails.php?album=34

Possible reason: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/keywords.htm#keywords_album

Please check if you have entered an album keyword for that album(s).

..and always post a link to your gallery, in each thread you post in, as per board rules. That's what Αndré did for you.

Yes, I'm sorry about that Joachim. I simply forgot. Either it was too early in the morning or I was so happy about the upload problems being fixed.

Thanks André - that fixed the issue! I wasn't aware of this feature (keywords), but I now understand how it works

Summary: It turns out that CPG is even better than what I thought  ;)

I wasn't aware of this feature (keywords)
It already exists in cpg1.4.x, so you should have that 'problem' even before the upgrade 8)

That's correct André - I did have the same problem with v1.4.18, but now I'm on the case and what to get rid of the errors

But if I have more trouble to report, do you want me to ask for help in the 1.4 forum or the 1.5.3 forum? I have no clue which version the problem 'belongs' to, but I also have some problems with comments now (I might've had in the previous version too, I don't remember)

You always post in that board which belongs to the Coppermine version that runs on your gallery.
