[Closed]: BMP files?
« on: April 24, 2010, 06:55:02 am »

I idiotically uploaded over 200 files, all very heavy (900kb) without noticing they were generated from a program in BMP format. the gallery won't add them. is there a way to add BMP files as an acceptable format in the gallery so the images can be added properly?

Thanks in advance. ;)

Instead of making the gallery accept bmp files you should convert them. This can't be done on the server, so batch-convert the files from bmp to jpg on your client, then upload the jpg files. Anything else would just be plain silly. There are a lot of tools that allow you to batch-convert files, e.g. IrfanView or Able Batch Image Converter. None of those third-party tools goes supported from us though.

Sometimes we need to add other files such as PSD. I don't mind if the thumbnails are not created but remember... more options = better!

Please start a thread of your own and post a link to your gallery (as per the board rules) if you require support. What you are asking is possible and a quick search would have explained how.
