[Invalid]: Reached Max Number of Connections
« on: April 22, 2010, 09:24:37 am »

Hi there.

This is my very 1st post so thank you for your help so far.

I have started Coppermine successfully yesterday on my site. I have ±140 photos to upload and have chosen to do it with the "bulk" option. I have created another sub-folder under albums and named it "pictures" with 777 folder permissions.
The moment I try to add the lot of photos to the album, I get this message:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: User 'username' has exceeded the 'max_connections_per_hour' resource (current value: 100)
-----
I understand that this is probably hosting related, but is there a work around on how to upload a lot of pictures? And, will Coppermine duplicate photos?

Thank you so long.

Deon

Ok, thanx for confirmation. Should I have provided additional information? I don't follow why you sent the link.

What must I ask the hosting company to change?

Start by posting a link to your gallery. That is clearly what it says in the link I provided and why you got such a quick response with very little information.

Why are you guys so stuck up here? This is the worst I have ever experienced and have noticed many others feel the same.

I provided the forum with ALL information that is displayed on the page. It would have said nothing more than the wording in my post.

----
Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: User 'username' has exceeded the 'max_connections_per_hour' resource (current value: 100)
----

All I wanted to know was what to ask the host to change. An hour has passed and the error is gone until I batch upload the next pictures.

Postings like yours make it very unlikely that someone will be ready to explain to you what you already have been told: your issue is related to webhosting. Ask your webhost. Locking.
