[Closed]: Weird Coloured Thumbnails & Normals
« on: March 14, 2010, 04:22:38 pm »

I have this problem with stramm, after the hosting fixed my gallery they installed stramm modpack, and when i started uploading pics to the gallery i had
this problem, the thumbnails, normal's, and the mini's (the ones when im adding batch files show) are looking on weird greenish tones, instead of the actual picture
color:
for example
http://demihq.net/photos/thumbnails.php?album=461

I asked my hosting and they said they can't fix that cause it's a problem with the cropper.

If someone here can help me please?

My Gallery version is: 1.4.24
And My Stramm Version is the same.
My Method for resizing images is: GD Version 1.x

Thanks

That's the mistake (except the fact that you're running an outdated version). Find out what version you really have on your server by going to http://demihq.net/photos/phpinfo.php#module_gd while you're logged in as admin. Then specify that in coppermine's config.

Im running that version, cause my hosting fixed my gallery issues, so they installed that version, and if I upgrade im afraid i can have the same error that I used
to have.

And thanks that solved the issue i had the Gd version 2x installed. But I can't use it because when I try to use the gd version 2 I can't upload pictures to the gallery.
Where I find the Gd Version 1.x to install it properly and use it.?

Thanks

You should use GD2 or Imagemagik. Set it to GD2 then start a thread in the upload section of the boards and we can see if we can help.

Make sure you do everything outlined here though.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

You don't want GD1, as it only supports 256 colors. Unless the server is yours to administer, you can't install GD anyway. Read up http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/faq.htm#WhatIsGD
