Fisrt of all, sorry for my english, I'm a spanish-native speaker and I'm just learning english.
Anyway.

This is my gallery: http://www.crepusculochile.com/galeria/

I put this problem in the Spanish part of the forum, but Fabricio Ferrero couldn't help me (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,62759.0.html). So i put it here.
I dont understand much about Coppermine, so to have to re-install the gallery is a total problem to me.

When I try to upload files by Batch, the message "No new file was found" appeared.

And then, this message appeared:

First you must upgrade your Coppermine. It is old and also vulnerable to hackers.
<!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.19 (stable)-->

It is also required to upgrade before you can get help. The experts will not want to offer advice on an old version that might have your problem fixed in the new version.
See this link:cpg1.4.26 Security release - upgrade mandatory!

Also, please do not post the debug output. That makes your request very difficult to read.

Return after you have upgraded your Coppermine and followed all of the steps in your Coppermine documents about "Upload Troubleshooting".

Thank you Joe.
But I have a problem.
I don't know how to upgrade. I only know the basic things of Coppermine (how to upload pics, albums, etc etc etc).
So I dont have anyone who can help me (Just for the record: I'm from Chile and last Saturday we had an awful earthqueake. So I dont have people to help me).

Upgrade instructions are in the docs.

http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#14

It is quite simple and shouldn't take long. Be sure to backup first.

@ ladykiita,

Download and unzip the Coppermine v1.4.26 and you will find your instructions in Spanish

     docs/index_es.htm

You will also find it in the older versions.

Take your time, read carefully - you will be OK!

It now looks like your gallery is missing the file   upload.php.

So I must say again - take your time - use your docs (in Spanish) and for a guide:

.....
When you uzip  cpg1.4.26 package on your computer you can then see the "structure" and organization of the files and folders within that package. The files on your server should be organized and structured the exact same way.

Did you have images there before or is this a new gallery? Currently I cannot see any images in your site.

Looks like you haven't performed an upgrade, but a fresh install, wiping your previous gallery clean. That's not what you're supposed to do. Once more: please read the instructions closely and follow them to a T. Restore the backup, then try again upgrading exactly as suggested in the docs. We can't help you if you don't. If you're fine with your gallery being empty and you starting from scratch, then go ahead and do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs: when http-uploading I get

, which is sort of frustrating. I'm not ready to spoon-feed users.

Hey hey, wait there!

I actually do the upgrade! I followed word by word.
I did it everything!
I download the updating 1.4.26, replace the whole gallery less 'anycontent.php', config.inc.php' and the album folder.
And then I go to "update.php"

Quote
Upgrade completed

It's recommended to check your file versions if you just upgraded from an older version of coppermine.
If you didn't (or you don't want to check), you can go to your gallery's start page
ç

So I did it, everything!

I can upload pics from the http`-uploading but I NEED THE BATCH. I have A LOT OF PICTURES, as 300 or 500. I cant upload one by one on the gallery web. I need the batch! And that is the thing that is not working on.

I did everything that you told me to do.

From the documents:
4.11.5 Asking for support on upload issues
Quote
If you want fast results, you should disable admin approval for the group the test user is in

From your website when I and Joachim try to help you:
Quote

It will be visible after admin approval.

Perhaps if you read the documents again and do as the instructions are written then someone might be able to help.

I said it: The http-uploading is fine, but the BATCH is the thing that I need and that is the thing that is not working.
I red the whole document and i did it literally, the batch is not working and that is I need to fix, I cant upload one-by-one pictures by the http-uploading.

And also I fix the "approval" thing, but I still cant upload pics by batch.

...and post a deep link to one of the files that you're trying to batch-add and that you have issues with.

Ok...

I entered to my gallery: http://www.crepusculochile.com/galeria/
Then I entered in the "Add files (Batch)" section http://www.crepusculochile.com/galeria/searchnew.php
Then I pick up "upload" folder
Then I search the folder that I want to upload to, I pick "reuniones", then "RM", and then "2008", "10marzo" and the folder show me the pics:

http://i50.tinypic.com/fjpb2f.jpg

And I clicked on the "OK"

And then the message "No new file was found" appeared.

This is one of the million pics that I want to upload: http://www.crepusculochile.com/galeria/albums/uploads/1.%20reuniones/1.%20RM/2008/10marzo/Img46.jpg

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but many times you will run into problems when files and/or directories contain "invalid characters".

http://www.crepusculochile.com/galeria/albums/uploads/ is fine. However, once you reach the next two folders,  1.%20reuniones/ and 1.%20RM/ you may run into problems due to the characters highlighted in boldface.

I suggest renaming those folders without spaces, dots or any other characters other than letters and numbers and see if that helps any.
