Organizing user albums
« on: February 20, 2010, 06:23:54 pm »

Brand new at Coppermine

I want to allow my users to establish photo albums, but I want the to be organized into established categories.

Currently I have set up three categories, when I test uploaded photos by a test user, the photo was placed into the User Galleries, there was no mention of the categories when I uploaded the image.

Current Categories:

PT Cruisers
Viper Trucks
Our Pets

I would like the user to be required to select a category for their photos of one of the ones listed above, then place their uploaded albums in that category. The "Our Pets" would be a general use type of category with no albums, just photos of pets.

I've read the docs and see nothing that aludes to what I am trying to do, any assistance would be greatly appriciated.

You need to allow public uploads in the groups panel and in each albums properties.

It is all in the docs.

You can close this, I figured out what I needed to know, not what I wanted but I can make things work.

Thanks

Please save us the job next time. Closing a thread is done by simply clicking the little tick in the corner of your post ;)
