Album Permissions
« on: February 17, 2010, 02:02:31 pm »

Is it possible to allow standard users to upload images to galleries created by admins?  I've looked everywhere in the config and help and can't find anything on it.  ???

You get the option to upload photos to any album in admin mode I see, can we give these rights to a standard user?

Thanks François,

Looks like a lot of features users are requesting will be available in 1.5.  Any news on a stable release?   8)

The team are working very hard on the stable release so keep watching this space.

We are looking for any user contrinutions to the forthcoming 1.5 release such as translations, filling in the blanks in the manual, themes, plugins, testing etc so feel free to contrinute in any way you can.

Sorry to mis-understand you but did you mean this can be applied to 1.4.x somehow there?

I understand how time consuming this stuff can be Phill.  I'm thinking of upgrading to the beta so I can help with testing.

Thinking about it, it might be best to install as a separate test gallery for Beta purposes.

Yes, you can set the possibility for regular users to upload in public albums in cpg1.4.x in the albums propriety as explain in the doc. Look at the album proprieties an in the group manager panel

I have checked this out and users are allowed to post to public albums.  Maybe the albums the other admin has created aren't public.
