Problem with Uploading Files
« on: February 14, 2010, 07:44:55 pm »

I am having a very weird uploading problem at my gallery:
http://magical-menagerie.com/gallery/

I looked on the board and didn't see anything like this so sorry if its here already

Here's what happens:
Directory set at: 777
Files set at 644/777
Then I go to:
Batch add files > Select folder > Select file, upload to blahblah, and when I try to upload, I get the click here for information and when I click I get a 404-Not found message

In my ftp uploader if I go to "Get Info" for the folder/file it looks like the attached photo.  But if I go to my site's Cpanel they are the correct permissions.

I have no idea what is wrong.  Not sure what else I can say that will help identify the problem so sorry if this is a bit general....

Please do everything outlined here.

http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#upload_trouble

Specifically enabling single file uploads and enabling debug.

`num_file_upload`  '5'
`num_URI_upload` '3'

The problem is...my cpanel says they are writable, my ftp client says unknown, and when I try to change the permissions it doesn't change

Please set "Single file uploads only" as requested. If you are unable to change folder permissions you need to talk that up with your web host.

After applying the changes you should log out from your coppermine site and then log in with the non-admin test user account and try for yourself to see what happens. This way you can see if you have done as suggested. And please don't post debug_output unless requested.

My host fixed the problem. Apparently files were missing after I upgraded coppermine to the latest version.
