CPG and Exif issue
« on: May 24, 2004, 10:11:51 am »

Hi!

I've some problems with the Exif information of the pictures. It seems that if i use the XP publish this folder to web functionality, the Exif info. of the pictures published to my gallery is cleared and published with empty Exif info.

Have anyone experience something similar and if so, is this a problem of XP og can I do something to solve this by some settings in CPG ?

Thanks
/Peter

Are you using the web publishing wizard to resize the images before upload? I think it might be related to this.

afaik the XP publisher (which is part of Windows XP, not Coppermine) doesn't respect exif info. There's nothing you can do about taht (except stopping to use XP_publisher).

GauGau, check out http://www.fotki.com/

They use XP publisher and EXIF still work after scale the images..

So, even this is not coppermine issue, "There is nothing you can do" maybe wrong.. ;D :D ;)
