"Files not writable, Can't be deleted"
« on: February 10, 2010, 06:26:46 pm »

I keep getting the "Files not writable, Can't be deleted" error after attempting to delete an album. I have read through the forum I have tried the following suggestions:
    changing the permissions (no help)
deleting the file from my ftp and it was not even there(obviously did not help)
I even tried looking for the hidden .htaccess file(was not there)[/li]

I am also having a problem with my main gallery showing albums when i request for only categories to show. Every time i click NO!!! it defaults back to yes... I do not want any albums to show on my main page, only the categories. so if you can help me with this i would be quite grateful. Below is a screenshot of the error. and here is the link to my gallery www.teamcrxsolfl.com/Copper/index.php

Set permissions on the albums folder and everything within it as suggested in the docs. If that doesn't help, ask your webhost for support - maybe they need to CHOWN for you.

As I stated above, I tried setting the permissions and they did not help. However, I fixed the problem myself by changing the theme.php code. Thanks for your help anyway.

For the benefit of others with similar issues we'd like you to properly resolve your thread by posting what you did exactly (replaced X with Y). Additionally, you might want to do as suggested per board rules and mark your thread as solved.
