Upload Error - "No file was uploaded"
« on: February 10, 2010, 10:40:16 pm »

I have been trying to make this system work for a few weeks now with no success. I did publish one image at the beginning of January but I don't know how and I've not been able to do so since. I suspect that I'm just doing something silly! :(

So, please bear with me.

I've checked the basics and can confirm that:
file_uploads = On
upload_max_filesize = 10M
upload_tmp_dir = /home/sypcuk/public_html/tmp

The error that I get when uploading is:
No file was uploaded !
If you have really selected a file to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...

Please, please, please... any ideas? I'm happy to give the admin details if it would help anybody resolve this for me.

You shoudn't need to specify the upload_tmp_dir. I don't think the directory that you did specify even exists.

Thanks for the quick response. However, that was what the phpinfo page said and what the host website page is saying. Attached.

I don't see any reference to a temporary directory there.

Thank you for that. Hopefully, the answer is going to be as simple as matching the two folder paths which I've asked my host to do.
It could be that I couldn't see this for looking!

Thanks again.
