Video Thumbnails Don't Work - Using Added Filetypes Plugin
« on: December 27, 2009, 04:36:01 pm »

Hello,

I just added a 3GP video to my gallery using Nibbler's plugin. I tried to add a custom thumbnail, but I can't get it to 'link up' with the video file. I have other video files (WMV) in the gallery already, and the custom thumbnail worked very well.

I've checked the filenames, tried deleting everything and re-adding with different names and I tried to add the screenshot with the same basename and still the created thumbnail didn't show up for the video.

I'm just wondering if there is any way to get the thumb to show up for the video file?

Info:
Version: 1.4.9
Link: http://www.stephaniegatschet.com//gallery/index.php?cat=10
File That Won't Sync: http://www.stephaniegatschet.com//gallery/thumbnails.php?album=62

Thank you!

Try using a lower case filename extension ie. 00Intro.3gp.

You also need to update your gallery to the current version.

The lowercase extension seemed to do the trick. I wanted to update the gallery, but I'm in the middle of a daily update thing, so I want to wait for that to be over before I mess with anything.

I was wondering though, even with the lowercase extension, the thumb doesn't work for the previously added videos (only new ones added with the lowercase extension). Is there any way to get the video & thumbnail to link up without deleting & re-adding the video file?

Thank you soooooooo much!
