Bridging to forums, whats the benefits?

Other than membership doesnt need to re-register, whats the benefit of bridging coppermine to php forum?
Does it allow posting photo's in thread without using [img] and linking?

Bridging simply allows coppermine to use the same user info, and use the same cookies and authentication as the board. It only affects coppermine, so there are no new features for the board.
