Error with database
« on: December 21, 2009, 01:56:43 pm »

Hi,

Since today I get the message that there is a "problem with connection to the database". I don't know if that's the right message it displays in English since my coppermine gallery is set to Dutch and whatever I do I cannot get it to English..
Error can be seen here : http://www.marion2u.com/gallery
I checked the database settings and everything is alright, I have changed nothing to the database itself, last photos are added two days ago but yesterday everything was working.

Thanks
Kim

Before you do anything else, upgrade.

<!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.22 (stable)-->

You really need to ask yourself what caused the problem in the first place. It may be that because you didn't upgrade you have been the victim of a hacker. I'm not saying you have but something caused your site to go wrong and you really need to look into it or you could be at risk if some nasty git has left something behind.

This thread kindly put together by Joachim explains everything you will need to know and a lot more.

Also, could you please mark your threads as solved by using the little tick in the corner of your threads.
