Switching off the full size image pop up
« on: December 10, 2009, 10:51:50 am »

Hi,

I would like to switch of the possibilety to view the original sized image. Deleting the full size image is not an option since I still need it for downloads.

If you like to have a look you can check the image gallery here:

http://www.djsphotoart.com/gallery2/index.php

Thank you very much

Thank you Jeff,

but I wanted to keep the shop. The plugin is messing up the shop feature. The general Idea is to turn off the viewing of full size images in general to stop people from right clicking on the image to save it to their computer while you try to sell something.
If somebody now wants one of the full size images he has to go through the shop.
If there is a plugin around doing this I would be very happy. However, if it can only be done with some coding, I'll be happy to do this as well if somebody could talk me through a bit since I am not very good in scripting.

Thanks again

Then edit your custom theme and remove the link there, as suggested in many threads, e.g. Remove full size image option for 1.4x (thread found by performing a search; no magic applied).

Hi Joachim,

thanks a lot for the hint. I tried all of what I found in the previous posts. Sorry, but it doesnt work. I might be missing something somewhere.

The current configuration is running with the following plugins.

Enchancement by Stramm
Photoshop by Stramm
Captcha

The theme I am using is the modified "Fruity".

After putting the suggested code in to my theme, I am getting the following error message on a white screen:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare html_picture_menu() (previously declared in C:\wamp\www\displayimage.php:63) in C:\wamp\www\themes\fruity\theme.php on line 63

I attache a copy of the theme how it is currently used after entering the function.

Thanks for having a look at it

I haven't looked into that posting in detail, but apparently there is a mistake in the instructions I posted originally: the function you need to add/modify is not
Code: [Select]
html_picture_menu, but
Code: [Select]
theme_html_picture, so the section you need to copy from the sample theme if that function definition doesn't exist is
Code: [Select]

Hi Joachim,

I have modifiyed the theme.php as instructed. The error message is gone but the full size window still pops up. It doesnt show a image since I have a dislalow in the htaccsess.

Sorry for being a bit a pain but it would be nice if you could have another look.

Here is the link to the life site:

http://www.djsphotoart.com/gallery2/index.php

and I attache the theme.php what it looks like after the last modification and the debug message after the full size window opens.

Thank you for having another look

This might work.However, without cross testing and with this author not having extensive experience - "no warranty of performance" is a condition of this reply....

In your theme.php find:
Code: [Select]
if ($mime_content['content']=='image') {
        if (isset($image_size['reduced'])) {
            $winsizeX = $CURRENT_PIC_DATA['pwidth']+5;  //the +'s are the mysterious FF and IE paddings
            $winsizeY = $CURRENT_PIC_DATA['pheight']+3; //the +'s are the mysterious FF and IE paddings
            $pic_html = "<a href=\"javascript:;\" onclick=\"MM_openBrWindow('displayimage.php?pid=$pid&amp;fullsize=1','" . uniqid(rand()) . "','scrollbars=yes,toolbar=no,status=no,resizable=yes,width=$winsizeX,height=$winsizeY')\">";
            $pic_title = $lang_display_image_php['view_fs'] . "\n==============\n" . $pic_title;
            $pic_html .= "<img src=\"" . $picture_url . "\" class=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"{$lang_display_image_php['view_fs']}\" /><br />";
            $pic_html .= "</a>\n";
        } else {

Replace with:
Code: [Select]
   if ($mime_content['content']=='image') {
        if (isset($image_size['reduced'])) {
    $pic_title = $pic_title;
            $pic_html .= "<img src=\"" . $picture_url . "\" class=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"{$lang_display_image_php['view_fs']}\" /><br />";
            $pic_html .= "</a>\n";
