performance hack
« on: November 18, 2009, 02:01:39 pm »

I'm really interested in the stats performance improvement from this mod. However is there any way of ONLY installing this part of the mod? (I don't want to upload all the current files because I already have other mods installed that would need to be edited back in).

Thanks in advance,

You'll have to extract that from the modpack. The performance hack is doing nothing more than removing extry queries for the statistics. Usually coppermine checks the number of images visible for the viewing user. That needs some CPU. The hack counts all images in the database (as if the admin is viewing the gallery). To be found in index.php.

So I just need to look in index.php or are other files involved?

Thanks again

if you want to switch it on and off in config, then you'll need to add the necessary sql. Otherwise yes, index php without the if statement.

I've added it now, thanks. I hope it'll help a little since my gallery is starting to become slow (v large and busy).
