[Solved]: Theme help..
« on: September 21, 2009, 07:43:44 pm »

Could someone help me troubleshoot what I didn't do right with a custom theme?

I've successfully installed Coppermine. I've taken my main index.html from the website and put it in my themes directory under a separate theme as template.html. I inserted {GALLERY}.

I have everything looking the way I want, but there's a few problems:

- It doesn't take up the full width.

- I am in admin mode and I can expand stuff such as General Settings, Language, etc, etc, but within there I can't change any of the settings.

Since the theme wouldn't take up full width I had to move my theme to another directory and copy classic into my theme's directory.. otherwise I couldn't figure out how to change back to normal! The save button was halfway invisible and the other button totally missing.

So, here's the website I am trying to make it look like:

http://www.peppermint-bay.com

I want the gallery to show up on the bottom without the two side bars.

Here's the default installation of Coppermine I did:

http://www.peppermint-bay.com/cat/index.php

Here's what I've customized:

http://www.peppermint-bay.com/cat/themes/pb_new/template.html

I really just took my index from the website and removed some stuff and inserted the {GALLERY} portion. I was able to successfully get rid of the left side bar, but not the right. If I remove the right sidebar then my background image disappears. I'd like the right sidebar to be gone and take use of that whole bottom for the gallery.

Any help is most appreciated..

I'll login and switch themes if you want me to to the one I've modified if you want to see.

I was able to get rid of the right sidebar, but as you can see everything looks pretty bland. There's a huge space at the bottom, etc. When I login as admin nothing works unless I change back to classic (or one of the other that comes with Coppermine).

I've actually almost got this figured out on my own.. I've gotten it to where it looks decent for me.. only thing is the Coppermine section is too large..
