Bridge Error phpbb3.0.5 - coppermine1.4.5
« on: September 20, 2009, 01:35:42 pm »

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and phpbb3:

Coppermine install: http://keinefarbe.de/index.php  ( -> index.php is important cause i have a "work in progress"-page called index.html)
Forum install: http://web163.webgo24-server5.de/fr/index.php
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.5
Forum version: phpbb3 3.0.5
Test user account: test / password

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://forum.keinefarbe.de
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../fr/
Use post-based groups?:  1
"none"/phpbb_

I have used this mod http://www.team-andro.com/download-co3270.html to use phpbb3.

My Problem is that when i try to login my browser switch to the forum. I log-in. And when i´m logged in i dont have any permission on the gallery.

Thx for every help

Cookies can't be read across different domains. Refer to the docs for details. You can't do what you're up to.

Is there a other possability to transfer cookies over 2 domains ? -> not coppermine specific ?

As suggested in the docs (I told you to read them, didn't I?) this is not inherent to Coppermine or any other particular application, but the way cookies work. They are designed that way, and it's not possible to change that. It would be very bad for the entire www if someone managed to do what you're up to.
Get decent web space (and enough of it) to host both your gallery as well as your forum on the same server and subsequently on the same domain.

Ok it´s done 8)

The Mod is very nice :-P

I have searched for a solution of the same cookies on two domains but it looks a little bit too complex for the beginning ^^
