Search by filetype
« on: September 12, 2009, 01:28:44 am »

i am looking for a way to be able to omit certain things from a search.

for instance... if i search for "sea ice" ... i will get 30 pages of results but a lot of them are videos of talks or audio recordings of talks when all i really want to see is images.

based on this :

http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,48659.0.html

it was suggested to just add the file extension to the search... for instance "sea ice jpg" (did it without quotes when actually doing the search) ... that gave me no results. i did "sea ice .jpg" and got 0 results.

"sea ice" by itself... got a TON of images... that are .jpg ... but a ton of video/audio i do not need to see.

any suggestions about the best way to accomplish what i am looking for?

thanks.

did you read my whole post or not? i said i tried that and it did not work. or are you saying search for *just* ".jpg" ...?

that would be beyond pointless.
