[Solved]: Choice of database when bridging with SMF
« on: August 25, 2009, 09:23:06 pm »

I have a working version of SMF 1.1.10.  My plan is to install CPG and integrate them so that users will not need to log in twice.  So, according to the directions, I on my way to first setting up a standalone installation of CPG and making sure that it works (before attempting the bridging process).

Here is my question:  Do I need to use the same database for these two applications?  Or, could SMF use one database and CPG use another (i.e., does it matter if they are separate)?  What are the pros and cons of using the same database as opposed to different databases?

Thanks.

Both ways are supported.
