Ok,
after trying to get cpg1.3 working, but receiving strange errors during the file upload (

), I downgraded to cpg1.2.1. However, I still get the same errors. I realize that this means that it is probably not a problem with coppermine that I am facing, but I am hoping that someone here can point me in the right direction.
This is the error that I get using single file upload on about 80% of my jpg files:
